One of the wonderful cooks at Eat.At shared this fabulous chocolate peanut butter no bake bar recipe. Dawn owns a bake shop and these are one of her most popular treats! Cut the bars small when serving – they are *very* sweet!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 3/4 lb confectioners’ sugar ( approx. 2 1/2 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 (12 ounce) bags milk or semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup whipping cream*
Spray a 9″ x 13″ baking pan with non-stick spray.
Combine graham crumbs, sugar and peanut butter, mixing well. Add melted butter and beat until well combined. Press mixture evenly into a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bring whipping cream to a boil in a saucepan; turn off heat once it boils. Add chocolate chips and shake so that whipping cream covers the chips. Let stand 5 minutes, then stir until well combined. Spread chocolate over peanut butter mixture.
Chill until set and cut into bars. If bars are hard to cut, put cutting knife under running hot water, shake off excess water and then cut (the residual heat from the knife will make cutting a breeze).
*You can leave out the whipping cream. If you do, the chocolate topping will be more brittle and may break as you cut the squares. They will still be delicious:)
