Fab Friday FREE Printables – Monkey Tags

After writing the post about Monkey Parties (HERE), I decided we needed to offer a free monkey printable today.  But, I couldn’t just do one – I had to do TWO!  One for boy parties, and one for girl parties.  They are generic without text, so you can use them for baby showers, birthdays, or whatever you can think up!

These monkey printable tags are designed at 2.5 inch round, and I set them up to come 12 to a sheet.  The downloads are in a PDF format file.  Just download, print, and then cut.  (We recommend a circle punch, like THIS ONE, but scissors work too!  Punches are lost cost and once you have one you’ll find zillions of reasons to use it)

You can punch a hole and add tags to your party favors with string or ribbon… or use the design as a cupcake topper.  If you decide to print them on STICKER paper, these will make great seals for favor bags or boxes.

Get the BOY MONKEY tag HERE

Get the GIRL MONKEY tag HERE

And if you’d like  CUSTOM party favor tags, you can click HERE to order tags personalized and customized for your event!  We’ll customize, print, and ship them right to you!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Ever (INHO)

best chocolate chip cookies in the world

Once again I am using a (slightly modified) recipe from my favorite cookie cookbook* to make, in my humble opinion, the best chocolate chip cookies ever!

What makes it so special?

  • First is the ground oatmeal in the cookie dough.  Gives great flavor and texture, making this a chewy chocolate chip cookie.
  • Second is the combination of white and brown sugar.  Once again, an important part of the flavor and texture.
  • Finally, the 1 1/2 Tablespoons of pure vanilla extract – what a difference this makes!

And I end with a warning – these cookies are addictive!

DIY Photo Backgrounds and Backdrops

The “photo booth” idea for parties and events is still all the rage, and today I have some fun DIY background/backdrop ideas for you…along with a few props too!

First, from Pretty Providence, instructions on making  backdrop for less than $5.00!!

From The Hungry Housewives, a FAB circus party… and although the photo I’m sharing is a backdrop for the table/food… it could easily be used or turned into a photo booth backdrop too!  The actual photo backdrop is further down  in the post.

From Hello Hue, a lovely gender reveal party… and a VERY simple and fun photo backdrop idea.  Streamers… props… done!

And I have to confess, this idea is my favorite… using a quilt as a backdrop!  Instant color and texture, but very little effort!  I found this photo on pinteret (couldn’t find the original source), but I love the shabby chic look of it!

Fresh Or Frozen Peach Pie

peach pie using frozen peaches

Why is this pie from the Food Network do darn great?  First and foremost – it has to do with the spices.  It includes cinnamon, cardamon and allspice which lends incredible taste without overpowering (these are the same spices I use when I make an apple pie).  Second, you can use fresh or frozen peaches in the pie.  Gotta love that!
