4th of July Favors

My only serious complaint about summer is that it goes TOO fast!  (Well, that, and the 115 degree weather we sometimes get in Las Vegas).  I just can’t believe how quickly the days go by, and the 4th of July will be here before we know it!  SO, today… some crafts for July 4th that will result in awesome favors!

Easy & Fun Chalkboard Projects for Parties

One of my favorites trends right now is using chalkboard for favors and decorations.  I’m not sure why I like it so much, or why it’s so popular, but I’m guessing nostalgia.  We have electronics and gadgets and white boards in school… and we miss the feel (and smell?) of chalkboards of our youth.  Ok, maybe that’s over-reaching, but I bet it has something to do with it!

Regardless, I have some great chalkboard projects and ideas to share today!

From Emmaline Bride, DIY Chalkboard Flower Pots – such a great idea for spring showers and birthday parties whether as table numbers, centerpieces or favors!

From With a Dash of Color – wooden DIY chalkboard tags!  These could be used as favors, place settings, candy buffet signs… and oh, so much more!

How about a DIY tutorial for Chalkboard wrapping paper?  I love the idea of being able to personalize a gift this way.  From Make the Best of Everything, a quick and easy tutorial:

From bell’alimento, a DIY tutorial on making Chalkboard Painted Wine Bottles – perfect for decor and table numbers!

And finally, from Cottage in the Oaks, a unique idea… chalkboard chargers.  Another great way to personalize each place setting, or a fun way to give your guests a doodle pad?

Theme Thursday – My Little Pony Party Ideas

It’s that time of year again… all three of my children have birthdays in the next several weeks, so I’m in busy (crazy) planning mode.  My daughter can’t decide on a theme, so I’m rounding up ideas and more ideas to (hopefully) help her finalize the plans!  Today’s post includes all the fun “My Little Pony” ideas I’ve found!  Just in case you don’t know… the key to a My Little Pony party? RAINBOWS….and MORE Rainbows!

Doesn’t it look like it was an INCREDIBLY FAB shower?  I want Carmen to come decorate for my next event!!

Purses and Bags and Totes, oh my!

If you are planning a bachelorette party or birthday party or.. well, any get together where women are involved, you can bet that a “purse” theme would go over BIG!  I’ve got some fun and fab ideas that all include purses in one way or another!

First, from one of our recent customers, we received this fabulous photo of our Cork Purse Centerpiece.  They used these at a bachelorette party, and our customer’s note said, “Over 100 guests (all women) admired the purse cork cages!”

From Parenting.com, an adorable how to make a Purse Cake tutorial that could also be “glammed” up, with rhinestones, edible glitter, and more.  The flowers are made by cutting marshmallows up, the zipper are M & Ms, and the handle is a Tootsie Roll.  So clever!

From Hand Stamped by Lacey, some adorable purse party favors, with some ideas and suggestions on how she made them:

From Expressions by Devin, a cute variation of cupcake toppers – PURSES on top of the cupcake:

And not toot our own horn (again) or anything, but you really MUST check out all the favors in the Diva Entertains Purse Favors section.
