With summer quickly approaching, it’s time to start thinking about the summer-time parties! I found some GREAT beach party and summer fun party inspiration for you to check out!

First up, one of the CUTEST parties every, a Beach Baby Birthday party, featured on Kara’s Party Ideas:

And from Paisley Petal Events, another sweet beach party theme… with BARBIE! Read through her post to be ‘in the know’ as to how to recreate it!

From the Hostess blog, a PREPPY beach party theme…once again, make sure you read through her post to be ‘in the know’ on how to create this fab party! Sailboat cookie cutters and crab cookie cutters are easy to find and decorate! Need a good glazed sugar cookie recipe – Click Here (it’s awesome -the best I’ve ever made!)

Unique and Fun Wedding Ideas!

Summer weddings… it’s almost time! If you are still in the last stages of planning, I have a few fun ideas for you today.

First up, check out this FAB DIY Activity Book (and free printable!) from Lovely Indeed created especially to keep the little one’s attending the wedding busy

I saw this Art Nouveau wedding post from Ruffled, and just KNEW I needed to share it with you. It’s so fresh and fun and unique! Be sure to click over and check out all the fun inspiration for this wedding theme!

Nothing says “Summer” more than burgers on the grill, and I a “build your own burger bar” would be a fun idea for a small backyard barbeque wedding. Check it out on Homemade Simple.com:

And the last one for today… another post from Ruffled. This time, an eco-friendly, natural wedding decor and inspiration post. I just love the clean look of these photos, and I can imagine all kinds of different parties using this kind of theme.

Cinco de Mayo Fun

Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, and in case you aren’t completely ready with your fiesta plans, I have a few goodies to share with you today!

First up, fun Cinco De Mayo cupcakes from the HostessBlog – Margarita Cupcakes!! Along with the recipe she shares 4 easy ways to decorate these yummy cupcakes!

Now a Cinco de Mayo craft for kids and adults; one that is super fun and delicious! Seriously one of the coolest ideas ever… Cinco de Mayo pinata cookies! Watch a video and read the tutorial on SheKnows.com:

And since we’re talking about pinatas, how about mini pinatas as favors, from One Charming Party: This is a Cinco De Mayo craft perfect for kids!

And finally, I have to share THIS next recipe, because… well, I just have to! I LOVE Sopapillas… and I love cheesecake. And I’m so, SO happy to have found a Sopapilla Cheesecake recipe! Peacock Bridal Shower and Favors AND Customer Photo!

We have mentioned this before, but the Peacock theme is an incredibly popular one right now for weddings and bridal showers. Today I have inspirations for those of you who are planning a peacock event. (And if you AREN’T planning one… shouldn’t you be??)

So, to start us off, here is an incredibly simple way to decorate a dessert table by using peacock-colored cupcakes, like these from RoseBakes.com. You could add simple toppers, and even peacock feathers as toppers (as mentioned in her post). You can also wrap your cupcakes with our Peacock Cupcake Wrappers.

From Giggles Galore, comes an INCREDIBLE Peacock Party post with lots of inspiration. The party was actually a Peacock Princess party, but I think the ideas could easily be adapted for a bridal shower. My favorite? The peacock cups! You can check out the TUTORIAL HERE.

I found a Pretty Peacock “real party” post on The Hostess Blog, with tons of incredible inspiration. I could not get over how gorgeous this next photo was… just had to share! What a great idea for the drinks and dessert table:

Also, we are sharing another customer photo today! Bonnie sent us a photo of some FAB Bridesmaid gift bags she put together, using our Peacock Favor Bags.

Mother’s Day Brunch Ideas

Are you planning something special for Mother’s Day this year? It’s just 13 short days away, and I’ve got some great ideas for you today, to help make Mother’s Day Breakfast or Brunch DIVA FAB!!

First up, an insanely easy (this recipe uses sandwich bread) yet wonderful recipe from Martha Stewart, a fun bacon, egg, and toast cup recipe. Perfect for breakfast in bed for Mama, OR on a buffet for a brunch!

One Hungry Mama has done ALL the Mother’s Day Brunch planning work for you, with a Spinach and Cheese Strata, Salad AND Dessert recipe all ready to go. The strata is prepared the night before and baked the morning of! It will fast become a favorite brunch recipe of yours!

Speaking of dessert, I ran across a lovely idea for cupcakes – a cupcake bouquet! Now, this is doubly perfect for Mother’s Day, because not only is a dessert, but it’s FLOWERS for Mom too! From Edible Moments, check out the DIY Rose Cupcake bouquet. Do NOT worry about frosting it the way she does – any way you frost the cupcakes will look great (especially topped with sprinkles or decorator sugar). And…if you really want to make it EASY – purchase the cupcakes from your supermarket and then just assemble the bouquet (toothpicks and green tissue paper are needed).

Fab FREE Friday Printable – Bachelorette Tags or Girls Night Out Tags

This week I have something a little different for our free printable. It’s a hot pink and black Bachelorette or Girls Night Out tag! I left a space in the middle, so you can personalize these with the Bride’s name, a date, or even use them as name tags!

These free printable tags are 2 inches round, and come 20 to a sheet. The download is in a PDF format file. Just download, print, and then cut. (We recommend a circle punch, like THIS ONE, but scissors work too! Punches are lost cost and once you have one you’ll find zillions of reasons to use it)

You can punch a hole and add tags to your party favors with string or ribbon… or use the design as a cupcake topper. If you decide to print them on STICKER paper, these will make great seals for favor bags or boxes… OR name tags!

Shoe Themed Party – FUN!

Today we have fun pictures from one of our happy customers from the Diva Entertains shop. Cynthia planned a shoe themed party, and ordered a cake topper and party favors. Here are a couple of her photos. Note that the shoes that she wore is on her left and she decorate our shoe cake topper (on right) to look just like it. Great job Cynthia!!!:

Kids Parties – Farm Birthday Party Theme!

One of the most popular themes for kids’ birthday parties is the Farm and Barnyard Theme! And honestly, it’s a great theme for adults too… and even baby showers! I’ve got some great inspiration for you today with lots of flannel, red checks, barnyard animals and HAY!

First, from Shindig Diva, an ADORABLE 1st birthday Barnyard Party. Animal crackers, “moo” juice, and cow and pig suckers – FUN! The post is full of great ideas for decorating, favors and more so make sure you click through to it!.

From Blowout Party comes a Barnyard Birthday Bash! The barnyard cake Amazing! Print the picture and take it to the bakery to see if they can replicate it! With ideas for favors, food, and even a barnyard craft table make this party a HIT!

Check out the very colorful Birthday Farm party on the Hostess blog. Once again, the adorable farm birthday cake for this party makes me squeal! Scroll through all her pictures for inspiration and at the end of the post she describes how she created this party and, where applicable, lists where she purchased specific items from.

Flower Girl Dresses and Accessories

It’s wedding season.. which means so many beautiful ideas for a story-book wedding day. I was noticing the other day (while browsing pinterest, of course), that there are SO MANY lovely dresses and accessories for flower girls these days. Tulle, ruffles, sparkle… enough to make the littlest girl in the room feel as beautiful as the bride! Check out some of what I found!

I was drawn to this post on One Fine Day because of the photo I found below… but you simply must go see the rest of the collection of flower girl dresses. So much adorable-ness!

And going along with THAT post, check out Everything But The Princess… a shop FULL of gorgeous and fun designs for your flower girl (or your 5 year old daughter Martha… oh wait, that’s me!) Have you ever seen so many raspberry ruffles??

I mentioned accessories, right? Check out this FAB Flower Girl Bouquet/Wand, from Petal in Pear Boutique. What a fun idea, and so gorgeous!

And for the DIY’ers, I have a fun tutorial from Martha Stewart Weddings. Flower PARASOLS for the flower girl… I love that it’s something she can take home from the special day and use again and again.
