Ocean, Boat, and Nautical Party Ideas

I live in the desert, and I rarely make it to the coast, but I love, love, love to DREAM about the beach… the ocean… boats and crashing waves.  I recently decided to “surf” the web (ok..groan) for nautical theme party ideas.  Here are some of the great posts I found!

From 6th Street Design School, a fab post full of nautical party ideas!  I especially love her “drink station”.  And she lists all sources as well as several ‘how-to’ links.

And another nautical party from the Hostess blog, this one with a more vintage feel.  Octopus (octopi?) are so popular right now…Oh – and check out the Spaceshipslaserbeans shop for very cool printables used in this post.

Camping Parties

A couple of weeks ago, we posted about Glam-ping Parties – which are a combination of GLAM and CAMPING… you can read THAT post HERE.  Today’s post is strictly CAMPING.  Not much glam, but lots of fun (for boys AND girls).

From And Everything Sweet, you have to check out this backyard birthday camping party… complete with individual tents and camp sites.  There is a tiny bit of glam in this party (oops, sorry!), mostly because it’s a girl’s camping playdate… but there is plenty to ooh and ahh over in camping style.  Check out her easy S’mores Pops!

Moore Minutes shares a “Classic Boy” camping party.  I love, love all the detail in this post – from her “setting the scene” to menu planning.. to the dessert bar.  LOTS of inspiration and ideas! Check out her great camping birthday cake!

From the Hostess Blog comes “Camp Luke”, a camping inspired birthday party.  You will not believe all the details in the photos… and be sure to scroll to the end for tips and specifics about how the party was themed.  Wait til you see the camp cookies – beautiful!

And finally, from MaryJanes and Galoshes, and very rustic looking (and FAB looking) camping party.  The post is FULL of details and how-tos… and stunning photos too!

Shoes, Shoes and MORE Shoes!

One of our most FAVORITE kind of Diva… is the SHOE Diva!  We have an entire section in the Diva Entertains shop JUST for shoe favors, and we love to cater to the fancy, glam whims of our shoe divas, however we can.  I was surfing blogs the other night (as I do almost EVERY night), and I found some fun shoe-themed inspiration that I just had to share.

First, from Then I Got To Thinking, check out the fab shower thrown for a true SHOE DIVA.  Great ideas for favors and gifts in this post!

I have seen some incredible cake designs, but I’m not sure there are many that can top THIS shoe birthday cake, from Elite Cake Designs.  Wouldn’t you love to serve this at your shoe theme party?

I do have to say that this shoe cake designed by Truly Custom Cakery, found on Cakes Decor, could give it a run for it’s money:

Did you know you can find MORE fabulous cake ideas if you do a search using  Google.com/Images It’s a fun way to find a cake design that might work for your event.  Type in “stiletto cake”  or “high heel cake”, and see what comes up!

Now, you know we can’t forget the brand new, up and coming shoe divas either!  Check out this “Baby Shoe Shower” post on Anders Ruff.  Not QUITE the glam shoe.. yet!  But, a girl has to start somewhere, right? The baby show cookies are absolutely adorable!

As I mentioned earlier, we like to cater to our shoe diva friends.  Here are a few of the items you’ll find in the Diva Entertains shop, if you are looking to plan a shoe-themed party:

Stiletto Favor Boxes | Stiletto Candy WrappersStiletto Cake Toppers
Shoe Cookies | Stiletto Mini Votives | Stiletto Shoe Wine Stoppers

And did you know we even offer stiletto invitations?  These can be customized specifically for your event!
