We talked about “little touches” yesterday, and I wanted to continue that theme today with a few more… this time, shabby chic style!
Nothing says shabby chic like burlap and lace together, and I found a very quick and easy tutorial on decorating candles with these two items. Perfect for a burlap and lace wedding theme (it is actually very popular!) Check out how pretty the final product is… and read the tutorial at Factory Direct Craft:
And continuing the burlap idea, I found a great tutorial for how to make burlap flowers on Snug As A Bug Baby. This isn’t a wedding post, but you can easily use the tutorial to create burlap flowers to accent your centerpieces or even bouquets!
This next idea isn’t a tutorial, but it is a wonderfully sweet idea. The bride and groom included a “memory” chair at their wedding, with frames of family members who aren’t with them any more. The frames made me think “shabby chic”, so I’m including it today. Isn’t this a lovely idea?
And from Intimate Weddings, a post about ways to incorporate wildflowers into your wedding florals and bouquets. I especially liked the logs as end tables idea! A friend recently asked my advice concerning barn wedding decorations and I thought these ideas were absolutely perfect! Yes – barn weddings are also increasingly popular!
