Friday FAB – FREE Silver and Gold Printables

Yesterday’s post was about Silver and Gold Wedding Anniversaries, and of course I had to make a printable for anyone who might need some silver and gold accents!  Check out the free silver and gold DIY place cards.

Gold-Silver-prev

These silver and gold place cards are a tent-style, and they come 4 to a sheet.  There is one download for silver and one for gold – and the downloads are in a PDF format file.  Just download, print, and then cut. There is a light gray edge around each place card on the PDF, so you have a nice line for cutting.  Simply fold over where the damask and white edge meet in the middle, and you have a tent style place card or table sign.

You can use these as place cards, table signs for candy or dessert buffets, or even gift tags on a present!

Download the GOLD file HERE

Download the SILVER file HERE

And if you’d like  CUSTOM party place cards, you can click HERE to order place cards personalized and customized for your event!  We’ll customize, print, and ship them right to you!

Silver and Gold anniversaries are such joyous occasions.  In this day and age, 25 and 50 years together is such an incredible achievement.. and I’ve got some great ideas to help you plan an event to celebrate!

From Celebrate Mag, a super easy idea for centerpieces.  The photo is gold gilded.. but I think you could do silver just as easily!

From The V Spot,  a super cute anniversary gift idea – also could be done in either silver or gold!  This would be great as a table accent at a party, and then a take-home for the couple

DIY Photo Backgrounds and Backdrops

The “photo booth” idea for parties and events is still all the rage, and today I have some fun DIY background/backdrop ideas for you…along with a few props too!

First, from Pretty Providence, instructions on making  backdrop for less than $5.00!!

From The Hungry Housewives, a FAB circus party… and although the photo I’m sharing is a backdrop for the table/food… it could easily be used or turned into a photo booth backdrop too!  The actual photo backdrop is further down  in the post.

From Hello Hue, a lovely gender reveal party… and a VERY simple and fun photo backdrop idea.  Streamers… props… done!

And I have to confess, this idea is my favorite… using a quilt as a backdrop!  Instant color and texture, but very little effort!  I found this photo on pinteret (couldn’t find the original source), but I love the shabby chic look of it!

I found a INCREDIBLE blog post the other day with the most INCREDIBLE backdrop for a party… using balloons!  The post inspired me to look for more ways to use balloons as affordable, fun, and FAB decor!  Here is what I found!

The post that inspired me, from Party Tales… check out the (did I say INCREDIBLE) use of balloons for this under the sea party!

Back to School DIY

As much as I hate to say it, summer is almost over… and that means back to school, routines, homework, and carpools.  I’m not sure who is more sad – me more or my children.  The only thing making me feel slightly better is the back to school shopping (I love NEW notebooks and pens!), and the fun ideas I found for Back to School DIY.

Today’s post will focus on the children, and accessories for school.  I’ll write another one next week with Back to School gifts for your teachers.

From Making the World Cuter, a fun tutorial for Personalized Pencil boxes!

A more feminine and shabby chic style of the pencil holders would be these adorable knotted pencil pouches, from see kate sew:

And check out these notebook decals, from the Lot 26 Studio.  You could use any kind of decal really, but the butterflies are lovely!

And this last link isn’t really THAT back to school related, but it IS Shark Week… so I had to share this fab tutorial for making a Shark Purse, from a beautiful mess!  I know there are some teens out there who use one of these on the first day of school!!

Carnival and Circus Party DIY

One of the MOST popular party themes for kids lately is the Carnival or Circus party theme!  Now, Carnivals and Circuses are a little different…BUT, most any idea from one theme can be used for the other.  I’ve found some great DIY ideas and inspiration if you are planning one of these fun, action packed parties.

For a gorgeous vintage carnival party, check out the McClure Family blog post.  She has some FAB photos, and links to tutorials and help with your DIY planning.

For some SERIOUS carnival planning, check out this series of posts from Striking Keys.  This is a HUGE production (large-scale carnival), but there are some super ideas that could be incorporated into any carnival or circus theme event.  Carnival Post ONE…. Carnival Post TWO…. and Carnival Post THREE.  Make sure you read through all the posts – so much *great* information!
