Download FREE Printables for your Halloween Treat Bags

It hardly seems possible that fall has arrived and we are once again facing the “holiday season”.  I walked through a shop the other day that was displaying Halloween items on sale for 50% off, and the store employees were filling up shelves with Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations.  Really?  Discounting Halloween items BEFORE Halloween?

Well, I’m still looking FORWARD to Halloween, myself.  My three children are excited about costume ideas (which change daily) and my 6 year old made a “count-down” to Halloween calendar today.  (20 more days, in case you were wondering!)  He also asked me if we could make presents for his friends for Halloween.  I told him, “NO problem!”  After much discussion we decided to put together favor bags with some kind of gummy worms (scary ones, of course) and spiders.  I told him I could make some fun treat bag stickers to decorate the bags, and then I thought, “hmm… I should share these free Halloween stickers with the Diva Entertains blog readers”.

So… here I am sharing!  Below are two DIY round sticker or tag designs you can print and use for your Halloween treat bags or Halloween favors.

This is a PDF file., and you can download the file by clicking HERE.  Simply print them on cardstock, punch them out with a 2 inch round or scallop punch (purchased at a craft store like Michaels or ordered from HERE, and use double-stick tape to add them to your treat bags.  You could do the same with sticker paper, and skip the double-stick tape step!  I have included 10 of each design on the sheet, for a total of 20 tags per sheet.

If you have any questions or need help using this file, just send an email to char@divaentertains.com.

Happy Halloween countdown!

Treat yourself… and your friends… to a Diva Spa Day!

It’s Saturday, and that means I’ll be highlighting a few products from the Diva Entertains shop.

It’s been one of “those” kinds of weeks, and so my mind today is on TOTAL and UTTER relaxation.  I’m craving a “ME, ME, ME” day.  (Please tell me I’m not the only one who has these kinds of weeks… and assure me that it’s not selfish to want an evening to unwind?)

I’m thinking a glass of wine should be involved… and maybe a friend…or four.  And some chocolate.  Or sugar of any variety, really.  Nail polish.  Mani-pedi time.

And maybe a party favor or two.  Might as well make it a Spa Day PARTY, right?

Check these out…

Pink Polka Purse Manicure set   ~   Personalized Satin Body Cream

Leopard Lip Gloss with Charm & Clip ~ Animal Print Lip Balm

Pamper Party Cookies  ~  Perfume Bottle Cookies

Damask Compact Mirrors   ~   Personalized Body Oil

I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to feel relaxed just looking at the spa day goodies…

Happy Saturday!

Fabulous Fun Friday – DIY Fab

One of the topics I hope to write about a LOT in the near future is DIY… or Do It Yourself.  In fact, we are hard at work on a new “division” of Diva Entertains, called DIY DIVA.  I’ll have more info about that coming soon, but for today, I thought I’d share some super fab Friday DIY projects I found thanks to Pinterest.

(Yes, I’m quickly becoming a Pinterest addict).

(Aren’t you?)

Fast and Fabulous DIY  Decor Wall Art, from Crafts and Coffee

Ruler Wall Mirror, from Design Sponge

Silverware Silhouettes, from California Callahans

Quatrefoil DIY Decorative Wall Art, from All Things Thrifty

Seriously, how FAB are these DIY projects?

Thrifty Thursday – Paper Flower Tutorial

I promised it yesterday, and here I am with a THRIFTY THURSDAY post!

It’s the post each week in which I show you how to make something fabulous, creative, and elegant… for very little money (and occasionally little effort).

Ok, I’ll be honest.

I might not always be the one to SHOW you… but I can certainly LEAD you to a tutorial that WILL show you.  I’m helpful like that!

Today’s DIY Paper Flowers tutorial comes from one of my favorite blogs, titled simply, MADE.

I can promise this won’t be the last time I post a tutorial from Dana’s lovely blog.  I don’t know which I like more – her writing or her photography – and I bookmark blog posts regularly.

So, today!  I’m going to share with you a favorite – simple and elegant and easy.

Wallflowers… made from paper napkins.  Like tissue paper flowers, but with some durability.

Dana’s tutorial shows you various ways to create these lovely handmade paper flowers.

And spiky…

And more!  You’ll feel like you are back in elementary school again, only your end product will be so much more fabulous!

Check out Dana’s tutorial, and let me know what you think?

Wednesday’s Child is Full of Woe… NOT

I think it is a Mother Goose rhyme that describes children’s personalities based on the day of their birth.  Monday’s children are fair of face (pretty!).  Tuesday’s children are full of grace (nice!). Thursday’s child has a long way to go (road-trip!), and Friday’s child is loving and giving.  Saturday’s child works hard, and Sunday’s child?  The best of all – bonny, blithe and other fun stuff.

But Wednesday’s child?  Full of woe.

Depressed.  Melancholy.

Of course you can guess which day of the week I was born on, right?  I remember reading that little rhyme and wondering… WHY?!  Why couldn’t I have been pretty or graceful?  No, I had to get stuck with SAD.

It turns out I was born with a bit of rebellion to go with my depression, and I have finally decided that Wednesday’s children deserve better.  We should be full of wackiness… or wonder.  Even whimsy would be good.  I’m not settling for WOE anymore!

SO, on that note.  Let’s have some Wednesday Wonder, Wacky and Whimsy, shall we?

(And yes, I realize I’m stretching the clever just a bit with all this Fabulous Fun Friday, and Tuesday Trends and Tips and Tricks and Tutorials and Monday Menus and… well, I SAID I wanted to be a bit wacky, right?  You’ll just have to bear with me).

Since I’ve already gone on and on (and on), I’ll stick to just three images today.

Wacky (yet, wonderful):

Don’t ask me how or why I ended up with lighting and chandeliers for all THREE of these… it just happened, and I went with it!

Fabulous Fun Friday… from Diva Entertains

Welcome to the first of what I hope will be MANY “Fabulous Fun Friday” posts here at Diva Entertains.  It’s the kind of post where you’ll never know what I might find, but you can be SURE it will be FABULOUS… and FUN.

For my first FFF post, I want to talk a bit about Pinterest.  If you aren’t already a member over at the “pinning” site, you need to click on over and check it out.  But, be forewarned – you are likely to lose HOURS out of your weekend if you DO .

I’ve heard it described a lot of different ways, but one of my favorites is “eye-candy inspiration”.  It is basically a hundred thousand (maybe million!) “virtual bulletin boards” with lovely photos, DIY projects, recipes to drool over, creative ideas to try… oh, and so much more.

You can set up your own personal boards, and then your task (if you choose to accept it) is to add pins to these boards.  Check out the Diva Entertains Pinterest boards, if you want to see a few boards and pins in action.

So, how about a little visual motivation?  Here is a shot of the “Centerpieces and More” board I created:

Isn’t that just lovely and inspiring? Each one of those images is a clickable “pin” on my Pinterest page, that will lead me to the original blog or website from which it came.

SO, I can click on the links, read more about the centerpieces, see more photos, check for tutorials or other ideas… and find more blogs to bookmark! (Because I really need more blogs to read, don’t you?)

And looks at some of the pins I added to the Cakes, Cupcakes, Cookies and More board:

Makes me want to take a cake decorating class… RIGHT NOW!

So… my final word for the day?  Pinterest = FABULOUS FUN

What do you think?  Have you checked it out already?  Do you have a Pinterest page?  Please leave a link in the comments if you do; I definitely want to see it!
