Theme Thursday – Purple and more purple! (and a little leopard too)

We have more customer photos to share again today, and I decided to make it a “Theme Thursday – Purple Style”, since the photos are from a purple themed wedding and a purple themed party.

First up, one of our products was featured in Baltimore Bride.  The pictures and wedding features are fabulous – please do click through to enjoy. Thanks to Meaghan and Pete, and to Irene, mother of the bride, for sending us these fab photos.  The artwork featured in our product below is by artist Robert McClintock.

Love these purple clothes pin touches…

And secondly, very special thanks to Chanae at Event Executives in Boston for letting us be a part of their event!

For a little more purple, check out this fabulous ruffles and pearls cake from I Sugar Coat It.  Personally the skill to decorate this cake is beyond my capabilities – but I could do something similar with white and purple M & Ms.

And a lovely Purple Picnic reception idea from Project Wedding.  So many little touches with BIG impact

And one last photo (none purple related)… a special thank you to Minnie C. for sharing THIS fabulous photo of her son at his 7th birthday party and for letting Diva Entertains be a part of his celebration!

Time for Another SHOE post…

We’ve talked about shoes and shoe-themed parties HERE and HERE and HERE too!  Honestly, I can’t believe we haven’t talked about them more, but I’m going to remedy that today!  Today’s post is all about EDIBLE SHOES – how fun is that?

I found some fabulous, FABULOUS edible shoe cakes from Gayles Chocolates (mm..hmm.. FUN site):

And look at this one Shoeholicsclum.com)… a Jimmy Choo edible fondant shoe:

I found a fun little stiletto cookie cutter kit on Amazon… not sure why the photo is so small, but I see endless possibilities with this one!

And here’s another edible chocolate high heel in LEOPARD!

Talking about edible shoes – check out Diva Entertain’s offerings….  Stiletto Cookies… and Oreo Stiletto Cookies!

If you are a shoe fanatic and you aren’t a regular on Pinterest, you totally should be.  I did a search last night for “party shoes”, and look what I found!! Pages and pages of party shoes…

And finally.. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again… one of our most popular favor and party themes is the Stiletto.  You can see some of what we offer here.  Recently a customer sent us these fun photos of her stiletto cake topper:

Are YOU a shoe diva?  Planning a party with a shoe theme?  We’d love to hear about it!

Jungle Parties and Jungle Showers

We love jungle parties – the animal prints, the “wild” animals, loud colors and fun favors – a jungle party theme is perfect for most any young child… and you can’t go wrong with jungle baby showers either!

To get us started, check out the photo inspiration of a jungle baby shower dessert table, from Amy Atlas’ blog:

From Sweetopia, get a FAB tutorial for making jungle animal cookies:

One of our customers recently used animal print treat and favor bags and cardstock to make a fun “banner”.  How cute is this:

Looking for other decoration ideas?  Check out this how to make jungle vines post, from Reading Confetti: Here she uses fabric but felt and paper would also work!

Serving cupcakes?  Check out this great idea for a cupcake stand, from Logan and Kalia’s Blog.  She has instructions (and more detailed photos) in THIS post, about how to change the stand for different themes:

And finally, a super fun idea (for the crafty creatives)… face painting as a party game, from One Charming Party!  (And she includes info about an animal show too!)  Her pictures are so great that you can see easily how to face paint animals!

Other FABULOUS additional animal designs for faces can be found HERE.  If you want to learn how to paint a particular jungle animal go to Google.com/Images and type in what you are looking for.  Ex: Face Paint Giraffe or Face Paint Lion.

Tuesday Trends – Zebra and Leopard Animal Prints

I’m SURE you’ve noticed that animal prints – most specifically leopard and zebra – are very popular right now!  I think it was about two years ago when I realized animal prints were the IN thing.  I was looking at photos of a high school graduation on facebook, and ALL the girls (and a few of their moms and aunts) had on some kind of animal print skirt with BRIGHT pink (or orange) blouses.

And it appears that this is one of those trends that just continues to gain momentum.  We’re seeing zebra stripes and leopard prints in all aspects of party planning and entertaining!  Baby showers… first birthdays… sweet sixteen… bachelorette… everyone wants an animal print party!

Here are a few of the fun animal print favors and party helps we have in the Diva shop:

1. Zebra Candy Wrappers

2. Animal Print Lip Balm Favors

3. Personalized Zebra Favor Boxes

4. Personalized Leopard Print Favor Boxes
