Lemon and Lime Wedding Inspiration

I collect links to all kinds of wedding (and party) inspiration, and often I realize that themes are emerging among all my collected links.  Today is a post based on one of those themes – lemons and limes!  The golden yellow and lovely green of lemon and lime make a perfect accents for summer weddings, I think… and I’m not alone!

Check out the GORGEOUS wedding cake gallery of Dream Day Cakes… lots of colors and amazing designs, and I especially love this lime green wedding cake – there are several more in the gallery:

Ocean, Boat, and Nautical Party Ideas

I live in the desert, and I rarely make it to the coast, but I love, love, love to DREAM about the beach… the ocean… boats and crashing waves.  I recently decided to “surf” the web (ok..groan) for nautical theme party ideas.  Here are some of the great posts I found!

From 6th Street Design School, a fab post full of nautical party ideas!  I especially love her “drink station”.  And she lists all sources as well as several ‘how-to’ links.

Theme Thursday – Silver and Gold

I used to think I was a little weird because I loved the combination of silver AND gold together, but I’ve since realized I’m not the only one.  (I’m know I’m weird for other reasons, but we won’t go there).  Today I bring you inspiration ala “Silver and Gold”… because really, you can never have enough sparkle!

From Style at Home, a lovely idea for table centerpieces… with silver and gold.  (And yes, I realize they discuss it as a holiday option, but I do think these would be perfect ANY time of year for wedding reception centerpieces).

Here is a lovely silver wedding cake from Love Wed Bliss, that I think would be FAB with a touch of gold… maybe with the flower or with one of discs?

And even Martha Stewart agrees with me about silver and gold… check out an entire show dedicated to using the lovely metals for your party:

Purses and Bags and Totes, oh my!

If you are planning a bachelorette party or birthday party or.. well, any get together where women are involved, you can bet that a “purse” theme would go over BIG!  I’ve got some fun and fab ideas that all include purses in one way or another!

First, from one of our recent customers, we received this fabulous photo of our Cork Purse Centerpiece.  They used these at a bachelorette party, and our customer’s note said, “Over 100 guests (all women) admired the purse cork cages!”

From Parenting.com, an adorable how to make a Purse Cake tutorial that could also be “glammed” up, with rhinestones, edible glitter, and more.  The flowers are made by cutting marshmallows up, the zipper are M & Ms, and the handle is a Tootsie Roll.  So clever!

From Hand Stamped by Lacey, some adorable purse party favors, with some ideas and suggestions on how she made them:

From Expressions by Devin, a cute variation of cupcake toppers – PURSES on top of the cupcake:

And not toot our own horn (again) or anything, but you really MUST check out all the favors in the Diva Entertains Purse Favors section.

I’m not a huge hot-dog fan, BUT these tuxedo wrapped dogs from Family Fun magazine make for fun Hollywood party food… and I bet your guests would get a kick out of them too.

And finally… do you want to let your guests dance the night away in comfort?  Check out the grippy socks a customer purchased for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah…Hollywood Theme, of course!
